Wow! Thanks for the heads up, Ross. Is anyone else mildly peeved that Mr. Publik has spelled it "Masoka" instead of what it's supposed to be, "Masoko"? Apart from that, I'll echo Ross: These are really top notch. Makes me think about doing my own "eStrangements" or something. Given that many of us know the music inside and out, creating our own versions might yield some very worthy results. David On 8/23/07, Ross Viner <ross@rossviner.com> wrote:

We are not absolutely sure whether there will be any copyright issues with this, but nevertheless, we found it a nice news item and the remixes are really good: "The 31st of August will see the release of ReINVESTIGATIONS : The Police Derangements by Jo Publik. ReINVESTIGATIONS is a collection of re-arranged, lobotomised, remixed and deranged tracks that, like Stewart's own infamous Derangements, were produced using 99% The Police material…plus a smidgen of other things. This 7-song collection includes 2 new tracks that have never been available on HYPERLINK "http://www.myspace.com/jopublik"Jo Publik's MySpace before. ReINVESTIGATIONS : The Police Derangements by Jo Publik will be made available as a free download on the 31st of August 2007. If you appreciate the tracks please send an e-mail to Lee Ellen Newman at Universal Music (HYPERLINK "mailto:LeeEllen.Newman@umusic.com"LeeEllen.Newman@umusic.com) and say so. At the moment they don't seem to agree, but you never know…"
I gotta tell you, I REALLY like what I heard at his myspace. ~r.
