Sept 1st seems to be lined up for Manchester, the following weekend in London.

It wouldn't suprise me if the first gig in the UK was in Newcastle - August bank holiday?

I noticed that. My wife and I were just saying yesterday how cool it
would be if Fiction Plane opened for them.

I'm surprised no one pointed out that the opening act in North America
will be Fiction Plane, fronted by Joe Sumner (Sting's son)....

How interesting...

Stingus mentioned early on that Miles is not involved, and it certainly
doesn't seem to have his fingerprints on it.

No one is saying who is managing, or if they in fact do have a common
manager.  Since Sting seems to be in the drivers' seat ("our Dear Leader")
I'm guessing his management is, if any One manager.

They haven't announced the dates, but said they will be there in
August-October.

I've had the good fortune of having seen Fiction Plane a couple of times at
small clubs here in Toronto....they also opened for Sting on a number of
Broken Music dates here in North America. I must say, I was kind of hoping
for no opening band, but if they are going to have one, I'm psyched that it
it's them - they're truly fantastic!

OK, enough of that...back to The Police...!!!!

Bruce

I just noticed that they have the entire webcast
archived in the multimedia section of the new
policetour website.

Thanks GOD ! I can't be dreaming !

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!

*waves from Northern Ireland*

I'm already thinking how *maybe*, if they're in Holland in the autumn, when
I am theoretically going to Holland to see my boyfriend's family... I have
to find a way to see them somehow.

Anyway, I'm so completely elated and thrilled. Thanks so much to the person
who put the footage up on Xmission; found that the free level of fanclub
membership doesn't let you see it on the tour website. Also to the person
who posted the audio; will have to download and burn that to CD tomorrow and
listen to it til it falls apart.

Honestly, I loved Roxanne at the Grammys - which I've only just seen since
getting home tonight - but the rehearsal was the ultimate. My face hurts
from smiling so much. I'm only 25, too young to remember the first time
round, and I honestly never thought I'd see the Police properly together
again.

I agree with most of the comments about the rehearsals performance.  Good
energy, enthusiasm (Stew was giddy) and sound.  The details of the tour were
beyond my dreams: just the three of them, no Sting covers, maybe even
old-fashioned Stew and Andy backing vocals (I'm thinking about Dead End Job
right now!).  "Voices..." in the set, lots of songs they are working on in
rehearsals.  A true world tour.  Fairly reasonable ticket prices.  What more
could you aks for!

MY QUESTION:
I'm a little confused.  I paid my $100 at the "thepolicetour.com" (a
no-brainer) and they say the Vancouver presale for the new fanclub premium
members starts at noon on the 14th.  However, ticketmaster.com says the
presale starts at noon on the 13th (tomorrow!).  Is there anyone out there
who can reconcile this?  The Best Buy reward zone presale starts on the
13th, but Vancouver isn't one of the options.
