I have a promo video for "Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot," which also has the Bourbon St. video on the same tape. It's of a live performance somewhere in France during the Blue Turtles tour. Nothing was done in the studio for that song, as far as I know. I don't know where you can see the video for "I'm So Happy..." (unless you can get your hands on an old promo VHS), but I don't think a video was ever shot for "...Senses." steve

Hi all,
Listening to "Moon Over Bourbon Street" the other day,it suddenly struck me that I'd never seen the promo video on TV or as part of any of the compilation videos. It's not on the most obvious one,"Sting - The Videos",which collects the videos for all his singles from the first two solo albums.I know that the song was released as a single because I have a copy of it on vinyl,so surely there must have been a video made...can anyone help,by telling me what it was like or even directing me to a clip of it online? And while I'm here...does anyone know where I can watch the videos for "I Was Brought To My Senses" and "I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Crying"?
Angeline

Well, my most prized release must be the Montreux live concert of 1991, 2 hours of excellent performances by Sting, Dominic Miller, Vinnie Colaiutta and David Sancious, acoustic. Together with the Unplugged 2CD, these belong to the best pieces of music of Sting's best album, The Soul Cages, a very honest and warm album that I play over and over again (sorry LJB, my taste hasn't changed yet). I actually still wonder why they made such a bad promotion at that time, especially by releasing an overpriced luxury box with only 6 live songs from the Newcastle gig in front of friends and relatives, a sad thing they do not release that whole gig as a lot of unique songs were then played as is partially shown in a UK TV broadcast documentary that was made about it.
Anyway, those days were imho the best ... still.
Cheers, Karel

In no particular order.....
Official recordings (A&M/Polygram/UMVD): -- The Police - Don't Stand So Close To Me promo CD-Video -- The Police - Every Breath You Take UK special edition 2 x 7" -- Mad About You "Original Remixes" promo CD5 -- The Soul Cages promo interview disc -- Acoustic Live In Newcastle CD (no book/box... whatever) -- They Dance Alone W.German CD5 -- The Police - Synchronicity CD (jacket autographed by Andy Summers)
Not-so-official and other recordings: -- Sting Live In Central Park 9/12/00 -- The Soul Cages demos -- Tim White sessions (1991, 1993) -- *Santa's Boyfriend demo CD (Swings And Roundabouts) -- CD-R of Police/Sting vinyl rarities transferred over (thanks to someone on this list for that who shall remain nameless)
* = should have listened to Andrea that night to get my copy signed and to buy an extra one to sell on ebay so I could retire at an early age... :p
There's more, but these are the gems... just need some bulletproof casing and a couple of armed guards to keep them safe...
But I think Fabien has me beat by a long shot though! :)
Also, although it may take me some time (busy during the week), I'm starting to consolidate my entire CD collection (including some from my personal Sting/Police archives). Things I bought for DJ-ing, things I received from work/record label contacts, and things I bought spontaneously I need to get rid of one of these days, both because I'm running out of room and for the "Steve needs to stop commuting an hour and 40 min to work each day and find a place in NYC" fund. So hopefully soon, I'll either have a sale list or start listing some things on ebay. Keep your eyes open!
Peace out...
steve

These are my most prized:
- Kollected Works - Klark Kent ( I just love this album )
- All my Police albums - All of Stewarts score recordings - especially The Rythmatist album, Ray Lema is such a good collaboration! - Almost all of Andy's albums - Evolution bootlegs - though i only posess one! - Brimstone and Treacle - Most of Stings solo work - Especially Soul Cages and Bring on the Night
-I have a special pressed on vinyl which probably nobody on earth has is an early DJ mix featuring on one side a mix of songs off the first 3 albums called Hands Up, it's pretty good
p.s: I can't stop my list, i have too much stuff that i treasure, too bad i haven't taken collecting bootlegs seriously.

This was a tough one! I had to think to myself, "if my house were burning, what would I grab first from my Police/spinoff collection--- a few came to mind, and I'd be very sad leaving the rest behind!
My signed copy of the Mercury Falling World Premier interview A Police Badge shaped vinyl of Don't Stand/De do do do A Picture disc of Wrapped...Finger/Someone to talk to 2 Picture discs of an interview with sting (first 2 of 3) anyone have disc 3 they want to sell me???
A couple non Police (but kind of related) would be my signed Santa's Boyfriend CD and my signed Chris Botti CD's.
Since I'm moving soon, I've recently uncovered more of my Police hoarding---As far as non musical stuff, ticket stubs, my concert programs and lots of Police "stuff" they sold back in the 80's (banners, stickers, pins) my old Ghost T-shirts. Fun holding that shirt and remembering how GREAT it was to be there!
