To All Police Fans:

We are looking for one hundred fifty fan club members to attend a special event on Wednesday afternoon, August 6th in New York City, where the band will film an episode of Spectacle: Elvis Costello with...!

For this historic music television event, Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland will perform and discuss with Elvis their varied and respective interests in music as individuals, as well as the remarkable chemistry together that has made The Police one of the biggest bands in music history. The show will premiere later this year on the Sundance Channel in the USA, CTV in Canada and Channel 4 in the UK with FremantleMedia Enterprises distributing the series internationally.

The location of the August 6th taping will be confirmed 24 hours prior to the performance.

These tickets cannot be purchased. They are not transferable. They will not be posted out to the winners and will need to be picked up in person either the day before the show (August 5) or on August 6.

For your chance to win a ticket to the taping this is what you need to do. Please note that this contest is for one ticket only. You must be over 18 years of age to enter.

To get your name into the ticket lottery to attend this taping you need to email spectaclecontest@thepolice.com no later than midnight (PT) on Thursday, July 31 and answer the following question:

The Police and Elvis Costello were both inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the same year. Which year was that?

Please ensure your email also includes your name and address, and if you are a member of ThePolice.com, Sting.com or StewartCopeland.net please include your site username. Duplicate entries will not be accepted and will invalidate your entry. Also, as there will be a huge demand for these tickets please ensure that you are, or can be, in New York City on the afternoon of August 6th. We will advise winners on how and where they can collect their tickets after Friday, August 1st.

A quick plea... If you win and cannot attend we may not be able to redistribute your ticket in time so please think carefully before you enter. We know this is short notice so if you did win, could you really attend?
