From Rolling Stone: According to Rolling Stone’s “Money Report”, U2 was the highest grossing band in the music business last year, pulling in $61.9 Million US. Dr. Dre, the Beatles, Madonna, and the Dave Matthews Band were among the top 10, with Sting coming in at #10 with $24 Million US dollars.

Calculations were based on net receipts, touring, recording and copyright royalties.

God knows he needs the money.
