I just really hope the people who queued up outside
managed to get a ticket.. Ticketmaster sold out in 12 minutes (or at
least, couldn't issue me with a single ticket, anywhere in the
venue...
Then surprise surprise, Ticketmaster's 'auction' site
has a number of tickets available starting at £100 - £15 more than face
value. They shouldn't be allowed to do that... conflict of interest
and all that...

Wow. That's what I did the first go 'round, as a teen. I
can't imagine doing it as a 41 year old, but if I had to I'm afraid it would
have happened. Yes, the job thing is becoming an issue with these staggered,
messed up ticket presales. I am self employed, and a mom/wife and should be
fired with the productivity I've been lacking since precisely Feb 13, 2007! I
just want it to be over with so I can see them!!!!

I went to shoot Bryan Ferry last night (with a camera -
however tempting - but that's another story) and on the way back to my car, I
was speaking to an aquaintance who works at the NIA (Birmingham). She
told me that there were people in tents up on the concourse outside the box
office waiting to buy tickets for the Police gig - I'm sure she said 'about
500 people' but that seems way too high... As I'd had a pig of a shoot
and couldn't really be bothered walking up the steps (the paper wouldn't use
the photo anyway) I just walked back to the car...
But people camping
outside the box office??? Wow. Don't these people have jobs to go
to?
