Hello fellow fans, I was wondering if anyone from this list can confirm the following, that The Police apparently played a brand new song last night at their show, something called 1784? Here's the only information I have about it right now: "One of the highlights for me was a 'new' Police song that Sting announced as 'Here is an old song many of you have never heard before - 1784.' It was a very hard rocking song, almost like a sequel to Synchronicity. It was short and fast, perhaps a little less than four minutes long. It seemed very modern for today's radio play." If they did play a new song last night, I for one am sorely disappointed that they decided to wait until the very last performance of the first leg of their tour to release it. Kind of a slap in the face, in my opinion. My one major criticism of their Chicago performance WAS the lack of brand new material played. Thanks to anyone who can shed some more light on this.
