Yep, I love the way I saw the BND tour 3 times over the course of a year and the setlist did not change - this well over $300 later on a corpoate-sponsored tour. I love the way that I went to... Nope, I will not bore anyone. My stance is this: Sting has done something that I am unable to believe: he has put out an album that I cannot get behind, that I will not buy. Perhaps it is because I am still wallowing in disappointment over the BND tour; perhaps it is because I still, despite what I continue to read here, think BND is a poor album compared to everything else; maybe it is because I think Sting has UNFORTUNATELY reached the Billy Joel/Elton John/Phil Collins point of mailing it in to adult contemporary radio, beyond the point of challenging himself, either in the studio or on the stage, especially in light of seeing both Andy and Stewart perform in the lsat year, pushing envelops, challening themselves musically. Yeah, the whole thing sucks pretty badly. I can't stand the beautiful and unusual version of Don't Stand So Close to Me that segues into When We Dance, and I should obviously have my ears checked because I love the new arrangement of Roxanne. As for The Hounds of Winter, I like the version on this CD better than the original--obviously I need my head examined.
Why don't you listen to the CD before making up your mind?

by the way, fellow campers: i was in a tower records on wednesday and picked up ALL THIS TIME: i wanted to see the track listing and got as far as song #5 before i threw the cd down and ran out in a screaming fit! obviously, i had a flashback to the tour de force BND shows that i saw/read about here. long live oysterhead!
