For the Vancouver, GM place show, I went online 2 PM EST last Monday, to get the best seats possible like many others. However ""best available" seats were section 117. Not being familiar with the the GM place seating plan, I assumed that section 117 was indeed the best available - I was wrong. If you selected "section", you are taken to another menu.
From there you could access floor seats. Unfortunately, for this fan, I learned about this glitch too late and was not able to get 1st, 2nd or 3rd row, like I easily would have done had the website worked properly.
I was VERY late, I didn't bother until Thursday. It gave me 117 as well. I didn't really want floor seats, so that was ok with me, but I looked on a map and realized that 117 is not a nice viewing angle. So I switched it up and asked for 118. Those were all gone though, or they couldn't find 2 together. So I went with the floor. I got 8th row left side. So my viewing lines are probably just as bad, but oh well. My gripe is the price ... I paid more for box seats at Peter Gabriel, and I paid more for Sting in Paris last September. But ouch! At least it's two big names. I for one am very much looking forward to seeing Annie Lennox perform.

But I am curious, how many of you will renew?
I got my membership essentially free through the purchase of the above mentioned Paris tickets, so I'm not really out any extra, but I will not renew. I haven't received the cd-rom yet. I haven't thought about it in ages until you reminded me. At this point in his career I really feel that Sting really can afford lose and it probably doesn't matter if he gains anymore. So why not step forward and do the ultimate for his class of entertainer ... offer downloadable concert tracks thoughout the tour to his fanclub members. That would be a worthwhile perc. Some indie bands post parts of their performances, but the cogs of industry forbid it with money making machines like Sting. It's a shame. Mark.
