Well, that's mostly where I stand. I used to be a huge fan of Sting, but after Brand New Day I started to waver. Even if some say he sold out, it was cool to see Sting in music videos and commericals. After seeing Sting live, which was much less spectacular than I had hoped (though it *was* the 2nd to last show of the tour, he was tired), I began to rather doubt my being a fan. Sacred Love was the death knell, though. Some of the songs sounded gorgeous... if it weren't for the annoying techno beat behind them. Don't get me wrong,I am a big techno fan... but whoever produced it on this album didn't have a clue how badly they were ruining the music. Anyhow, I'm sure that's been discussed. However.... from what I hear Sting is moving back to a more rock based feel on the Broken Music Tour. I tried to go and see a show when I found out, but it was too late. So, here's to Sting starting to make some decent music again. I'll be a fan, mister Sting, if you will just start making some interesting music that moves me once again. Wow, this is my first post in YEARS. I hope everyone is well :o) Keep the faith, I'm sure our man will pull through. -Dave [Man in a Suitcase] -----Original Message----- From: Kinetic Kid <kinetickid@yahoo.com> To: police@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Tue, 19 Jul 2005 19:05:40 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [Police] I think Sting lost most of his fans In all my years in this list i have never seen it so dead and quiet. Did Sting reach the end of his career ? I hope not ?! Anyways, i think he will not deceive the next time around ... I have a good feeling. Keep the faith !
