I wonder if they'll bring back "Be My Girl Sally"

Here is my take on the changes to the set list so far... Talking to my (and Bruce's) buddy Jock today, the concert ended very close to 11pm. There may be a city by-law that does not permit loud music after that time so they may have been obligated to cut Next To You or face a fine. I imagine it'll be back in the set-list next arena show.

Truth Hits Everybody was back in the set list in Edmonton but I'm not sure Sting is totally satisfied with the song. He made a comment in the dress rehearsal about how somebody was going to make a big mistake during that song. Maybe he was referring to himself? I think it'll come and go but maybe ultimately get swapped or canned unfortunately.

I do think The Police camp pays close attention to what the fans are saying and they realized they have some work to do on Don't Stand and DeDoDoDo. That said, I noticed from the snippets of video on YouTube that the changes weren't too dramatic. Andy is playing different notes in Don't Stand but the pace is still the same. They just sounded more together overall on DeDoDoDo.

As for Murder By Numbers, I'd expect it to return to the arena gigs as it's just not the right kind of song for big outdoor stadiums. I think it loses the intimacy that Sting and Andy are trying to create with the song. I would be more than happy if it got swapped with Bring On the Night, One World, Demolition Man, or pretty much anything else except Mother.

That's my 2 cents Canadian! Great meeting so many of you in Vancouver.
Cheers,
Chris
