In my honest opinion, the highest point was "The Soul Cages" album because it contains some of Sting's masterpieces: "All this time", "Mad about you" and, above all, "Why should I cry for you?" (my favourite song). As for singles and songs, I think that "They Dance alone" stated one of the highest points in Sting's career. That song impresses me everytime I listen to it. Songs like "Valparaiso", "Fields of gold", "Desert Rose" and "Russians" are fantastic too. However, I think Sting has changed the aims of his songs. In his firsts albums he attacked politics ("Russians"), he spoke about Humans Rights ("They dance alone", perhaps in "Children's crusade") and he composed one of the most beautiful songs in the history of music ("Fragile"), but from "Ten summoner's Tales" to now he hasn't composed "deep" songs although he has made very good songs. The lower point is perhaps the remix of Roxanne in 1997. Horrible, in my opinion. Cheers. Juanma.
