Hi all, at the Olympics, he should have played "Love is the seventh wave", which contains the "right message" and would have been a real surprise. He'd better "save" Fragile for real tragic events, like sept. 11 2001. But it certainly has a quality that makes the song apply to all kinds of situations. Just my 2 cents. Maartje PS Oh boy, I hope his dog doesn't die before feb. 20..

Hi all from France !!! Ok, "Fragile" is a nice song... (or was...). That sounded great back in the late 80's years but now it sounds really boring, especially as 99% of the planet already heard it in diff. fields ! This track covered so many situations in so many years that now the initial spirit of the song has gone away.. The way it turns make the Sting's strategy going the ridiculous way... Initialy used for the Nicaragua cause, it was also a tribute song to the Rainforest destruction, to Freddy Mercury's and sepecial friends death, to some Nobel's prize awards, to the (tragic) Twin Towers events, and now to the Olympic Ceremony (wich means THE song for peace).... He should now use it when his dog will die and everyone will be happy telling that the version is personnal and that it's so deeply emotional ! Where the hell are we going mates ? Since 1991, the song is played at EACH concert, every night ! We're all fans in a way but eating the same thing again and again, made the meal really digusting ! This is really ridiculous, especially when each time the same message is taken as a whole banner to defend global diseases, and bad things that can happen in the world... To some people (non Sting's fan), Sting's is going the bad marketing way without any good reasons and, you know, I can't blame them at all... Monday on my mind...
