Almost 6 months later, this album is still amazing to me.  A true unexpected treasure...I had such low expectations.  I'm really looking forward to the live stuff coming out.  Agree with End of the Game, but love Hung my Head, always have, and find this orchestral version improves upon it dramatically, if that's at all possible.  But, my wife agrees with you...can't listen to the song, too sad for her.  I think she likes the music though...just not the story.  Ain True Love is the Mother of this album...I have to skip it every time.

 

I bought the regular CD and purchased the extra tracks through Amazon and Itunes.

... to purchase Symphonicities. For awhile I was just waiting for the import with the extra tracks, then I got really busy and forgot all about it, then I remembered and the import was ridiculously expensive and/or unavailable, especially since someone here offered to send me a link to the extra tracks, so I just got a regular copy. And now, my totally predictable review: LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! With the exception, of course, of "I Hung My Head", a song I never liked anyway. The orchestral treatment is fine, I just dislike the song. LOVED (Adored!) Roxanne. LOVED Ain True Love. When We Dance goes without saying. (Good heavens, those 3 right in a row?! Give a girl a chance to breathe!!) Maybe the best song was The End of the Game -- everything about it was fantastic (IMHO): orchestra, vocals, arrangement, the whole package. Extraordinary.
So, whoever had those extra tracks, please write to this poor overworked Sting fan who unknowingly deprived herself of a fantastic musical experience for too long. And sorry for not writing sooner -- I miss you guys!!
