The Police are a great example of "Synergy" . Maybe that could be the name of any new Police album? I don't think the Police will ever reform for new material. Too risky. As much as we all LOVE the band, I have suspected over the years they aren't the colossal group we hoped the world would see through our eyes. And if they reform, I think there is a good chance that the album wouldn't fair more than average for any decent group. I know we have heard band members say stuff like "Yeah we could reform and sell a billion albums, but why do that?" And then suggest some of the other "super groups" get to together after being too old, yad yada yada..." But I really don't think they'd fair better than any other "big" group out there. Maybe even worse. Thus it avoids the risk, and embarrassment of "failure." If Sting were a true "risk" taker, he would agree to a new album. He's not. It's just flattering to think of oneself like that. Having said that, Sting is still a musical genius in my mind. Pure genius. and better than any other out there. But that doesn't make him a 'risk" taker. As a matter of fact, he is pretty cozy were he is right now, and in 7 years we'll se a solo induction into the HOF. Ross
