I can't say one way or the other, but I can say that if the record co. is suggesting album ideas then he has either completely run out of creative juice or there is something else going on. Someone else who has a better understanding of the music business world can hopefully provide more insight.
Exactly, an orchestra version of Next to you. Interesting. Now to do it live he would NOT need permission from the band as far as I know but to put that out on record he would. And I cant imagine Stewart is into this concept - I could be wrong though.I found it interesting how he earlier had admitted that his record company had suggested a christmas record and he thought about it and came up with the winter idea. Do you think the record company came up with the orchestra idea....could be as he has done two deutcshe grammaphone releases in a row here.David

"Selections will include fan-favorites such as 'Roxanne', 'Next To You', 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic' and 'Every Breath You Take', to notable songs from Sting's enduring solo career - 'Englishman in New York', 'Fragile', 'Russians', 'If I Ever Lose My Faith in You', 'Fields of Gold', and 'Desert Rose.' "
Personally...I find the choice of 'Next To You' interesting to say the least....
