HI Michelle,

 

Trying to get my son to take up an instrument – what a nightmare. He wants to play drums like his dad, but I have told him before he can do that he has to learn piano or guitar to learn how to read music. But he counters what drummer has sheet music in front of them? Phil Collins doesn’t Stewart Copeland doesn’t – to which dad replies, Yes, but they both can play multiple instruments and read and write music!!!

My 11 year old feels the same way (bass player now!) I'd probably still have to drag him there since he's so anti sting!
