The obvious question seems to be, "What's wrong with that" but in today's day and age is it acceptable to be just frickin' great and not put on a show? THat's why I go to shows, for sure. I rock out. I don't care what's going on at the stage. Am I in the minority? On 7/25/07, Ross Viner <ross@rossviner.com> wrote:
As much as I love the police, they don't put on a show of any sort. They just play damn great songs, great. But it's not a show by any stretch IMHO.

What does that tell you in that these Police tickets which when I bought them I thought well if I wind up not being able to go I surely could easily sell them for a little extra. Well that is looking difficult these days. My guess is a few things...lots of dates meeting the demand, high starting point of the ticket prices and not a great buzz for the shows (kicked off by stew's unfortunate blog being used in press.) I cant tell you how many people I meet at parties etc and I mention the police concerts and they mention they heard the shows were so-so or not very good. Most have no idea where they hear or read it either...its weird as I havent heard that kind of buzz kill for many other bands before. The live earth performance which some saw didnt help the buzz either.
