Giovanni here. Well, as I've been named....eheheh.... Ok, here is my opinion. We all loved Outlandos Fan Club and Tina great work, as well as Dave & Wendy work on Stingchronicity website, a bible for all of us. I think most of us will agree with me that we all have to be greatful to their incredible work throughout all these years (I subscribed Outlandos Fan Club early 1984). Now internet and the webworld has changed it all, but I have to say in a very good way; we're all 'aficionados' to the old version of the bullettin, but we received it every three months more or less, now we have DAILY updates, and you can't deny it, as well as NOW everybody got the chance to purchase tickets for places where in the past it was almost impossible to find a decent contact (I used to travel a lot to see Sting all around the world, and I can really tell you that sometime I didn't know where to start to get in touch with a ticket office somewhere in the world). Ok, Tina and the fanclub always gave me a great help, that's true, and we all could have front row tickets, but if I do consider the whole number of Sting fans, considering the ones that don't feel llike being part of a fanclub, we can all say that the service they have now is absolutely good, they/we can all find the way to get a ticket for a Sting concert wherever it is (unless it's sold out). I know sometimes it's very strange to see people selling tickets on e-bay, just a few minutes after they went on sale, but in the past we got scalpers outside the venues, with very good tickets as well... Don't just consider all of us fans as the only...we're just a minority comparing to the high number of Sting fans, and this site is giving to everybody the opportunity to get to a Sting concert very easily, to read daily news, to see videos, hear music, and lots of other stuff. I'm a great Sting fan, you all know, and I can tell I still miss the paper version of the Outlandos fan club Bullettin, but people, there is no comparison at all with this new format. As to Stewart, well, it's a complete different story; I'm glad you like the way Stewart and I work on the website www.stewartcopeland.net, more exclusive will be uploaded soon, such as audio and video tracks from the Gizmo project, but it's just about Stewart and me, there are no 'big money' involved, labels that takes care of every single note....the label is Stewart, the site is Stewart and me (and a few very good collaborators), the tracks we upload are not already published (and that makes everything easier). Stewart is directly involved in everything, while Sting got people involved instead of himself, he wouldn't have the right time. Thanks. I think this is the only way to make ourselves hear. I did not renew mine because I preferred the old version on paper , at the time we had something in our hands , although it was not Heaven ( you only have to see other fan clubs offers from other bands ). Least of all , see Stewart for example he gives us for FREE some unreleased material through Gio's site .... there is nothing to compare !! Support Stewart and Andy and let go see them alive , it's worth it ....
