I really like MF but I find myself skipping some songs, so I guess I see both sides. I don't skip Let Your Soul, but I don't really get into it. It always feels like it has faux energy to me, which is no energy at all. It just doesn't seem authentically gospel or soul or whatever you want to call it. There's too much control. It's like Sting didn't let himself or the other singers/musicians really let go and get inspired. I guess my main complaint is that it's too controlled/scripted and doesn't "soar." Compare it to some of U2's live gospel choir backed songs and there's a huge difference in the feel. I've gone on record and I'll do it again - I Hung My Head is absolutely, positively my least favorite Sting song. I'd rather listen to Mother 1,000 times in a row. Hung is too cheesy for me to stomach. Um, I usually skip Belle, I just don't care for the bosso nova tempo. Everything else, I love. Especially Hounds and Brought to My Senses. Even with the songs I skip, I find myself listening to MF a lot in the car. I think it's good driving music. Just my 2 cents. Maggie
