I don't think it's quite to that extent, but good analogy! I think Rich had nailed my feelings yesterday when he wrote: "....i feel that the legacy of the police is not held in as high a regard to the world outside this wegpage (sic) - that they are blown off and/or taken for granted, that their uniqueness has not been given its just due. " I agree with that statement. I was flipping through a book at my sons' book fair last week---"the 25 best bands of this century" and was shocked to see that the Police weren't one of them. I really don't think they are given the respect they are due. Yes, Sting was the Police, but not without Andy and Stewart. So I guess I'm going on record to say the three of them were the Police. They created a unique sound and energy when they played together THEN. I don't even feel that they'd have it now after seeing the footage from the RRHofF. It didn't give me that feeling that they were the Police again, but then again, I wasn't there. Just three guys playing old stuff together. I thought I was really going to regret not making it to NY that day, but I'll keep my concert memories of 20 years go, thanks! OK, sorry if I got off tangent a bit. Too much candy already and it's only 10am! Happy Halloween! Michelle in TX
