Not only was I
pretty miffed that the 'best available' seats offered for Birmingham via the
fanclub were worse than the ones available direct from the booking office,
I've just had the latest "newsletter" email offering "deluxe" tickets that
promise seats within the first 10 rows, at only
$300 per ticket.
Granted, you get a
t-shirt, oh, and 3 months subscription to the fan-club... and an
exclusive CD-ROM (they can't get rid of them fast enough it
seems), and a tour laminate, but am I wrong in thinking that I've been stiffed
???
I paid $65 because
I was promised 'advanced' tickets, implying that I would get better seats
because the general public didn't get their share... then we find out
that 10 rows have been held back deliberately (or just didn't sell?) so that
we can be scalped for $300 per ticket (£163 - FOUR times the face value of a
normal ticket).
No doubt, the same
t-shirts will be available at the venue anyway for about £15-£20,
laminates? Maybe...
Ah well.
It's made me chuckle.
I've got a feeling
that there may be a few empty seats at the front for these
gigs.
