Sorry, I'm not even sure I'd want to attend something like this.

All the people, overpriced food... I know those occur at any big concert, but to put it bluntly I hat ethe festival atmosphere.  Trying to push through the crowd to see your band, standing in the crowd for hours and hours just to get a good position to see them... and all the fans that have nothing to do with who you want to see... I don't know, I can't stand it.

More appropriately, I feel that having anything other than an opening band would detract from the return of The Police immensely. It might make them look like they can't draw a crowd on their own, and I feel that's the impression the outside world would get, IMHO

It would be a great way to get publicity, though!

Well, if they would end up planning some concerts for sure, I would do (but it would be almost impossible) an incredible line-up to make it an event bigger than ever...well, let's bring back all those bands that used to support The Police at that time....you know what I mean?

U2
REM
XTC
THE ALARM
GO-GO'S
BANGLES

and I would add some band from today such as...let me see...

RADIOHEAD (I sincerely don't like them but I would say they would perfectly fit the line-up)
EVANESCENCE (they remind me some of those darker bands of that time, I would add them)
FOO FIGHTERS
PEARL JAM (as well as Foo Fighters, they love The Police...I'm sure they would pay $$$ to be part of this line-up).

It could be a two-days Festival with The Police headlining both night! Sold out of course...such as San Bernarndino US Festival.

I would name a lot more bands...what would you add?

Ciao ciao

Ps.: it would be even better that LIVE AID 2... the first LIVE AID was unique
