Thanks for the pics, Joe!

We did have a great time. You're both welcome back to Chicago any time! (Not that I get to say if you can visit or not :-)   )

Come back soon. Please bring The Police with you if possible!

Hy everybody
sorry for the delay in the report but I´ve been (still)extremely busy
this week. I flew to Chicago from Argentina for my first Police concert
in my life. Andalthough it didn´t start quite well )delayed flight,
missed conncection, luggage not showing up) everything went great. We
went with a friend of mine from Uruguay, Analia. We went to Wrigley
Field early in the afternoon because we anted to see if we could catch
Andy, Stewart and Sting when they arrive to the stadium and al least
listen to the sound check form the outside. Nobody from the security was
very kind to tell us whether thry have arrived or not, or when the
shound check was scheduled. We walked around the stadium and decided to
wait when we saw a Chicago police car and two ¨Police¨ white vans. I
could saw Stewart inside. We ran to the gate where they stopped and
shouted at them telling we had came from South America. Stewart looked
at us and raised one hand. We felt lucky we were at the right place at
the right moment and could at least see them. Some minutes later
something incredible happened^Stewart came out. We called him and he
crossed the street and came to where we were standing. He said hi and
let us take a couple of pictures. I was stunned!! I didn´t know what to
say. I never expected any of them to go out just for us (we where the
only ones there waiting for them at the moment). We then heard the
sounchceck (they only played Message i a bottle) and after learning that
they will not leave the stadium untill after the show we leave to met
Allison and David from the mailing list at the Red Lion. While leaving
we met Joe Sumner and Pete Wilhot from Fiction Plane on the street. We
talked to them for a while and took a couple of pictures. They were very
friendly and amazed that we have came from south america. We then went
to the Red Lion. We had a great time there talking about Police and
waiting for the concert. Later at the stadium we were with Analia trying
to figure out the best place to be for the concert (we both had U$S90
tickets but we were not togheter), In a moment a woman from security
told us that we couldnt be there and that we have to go to our seats.
She asked us where we were and asked us if we wanted field tickets. Of
course we do!!!!! She kindly told us that it was our lucky day. Took two
green  wristbands and two sector B tickets and gave them to us. We
couldn´t believe what was hapenning. I didn´t know how to thank this
woman. Being still in a shock we ran to the field showing everyone that
wanted to see them our wristbands and tickets. The tickets were great.
When Message ina bottle started we managed to move some rows to the
front but later were moved back by the security. I wont make a concert
review as David and Marisa have said everything and the only thing I can
say is that it was an amazing concert. Really better than what I
expected. They were in great shape, lots of  energy lots of jams and
much imporved from what I heard of previous shows. I believe they are
getting better and better as time goes by. I had an incredible day in
Chicago and would never forget it. All thanks to The Police!
See you,

Joe from Argentina
