Subject: [Police] She walks this
earth
Hi
everybody
I just thought
it'd be interesting to know what all of you think are the best Sting songs NOT
from a studio album. IE b-sides, tribute songs, songs only performed live etc.
I started wondering since I've been listening a lot to "A Love Affair - The
Music of Ivan Lins" at work lately. "She Walks This Earth" is really an
amazing song and Sting's voice is perfect on the recording, I really think
it's one of the best vocal performances by Sting ever. Something strange but I
feel like I'm in love everytime I hear the song (I am in love, so it's not
THAT strange). Anyway here comes my list. Another song that's great is "End of
the Game", why, WHY wasn't it on "Brand New Day", it would easily have been
the best song on the album. Well, that's my thoughts, here comes my
list.
- End of the
Game
- She Walks This
Earth
- Pirate's
Bride
- Come Down in Time
(Elton John) from the Two Rooms album (I hope that's the name of the
album).
- Tempted (Squeeze)
Only performed live.
Ohh, I came to
think about another song too. "Another Day" from the "Bring on the Night"
album. Is this an original Sting song? If it is, why has he never recorded it
for an album?
Cheers,
Patrik
