That might partially explain why there were 29,569 gun deaths in the US in 2004.  11,624 of those were murders and 649 were unintentional shootings.  The balance were suicides.

Not the case in TX.... I remember the first time I saw a dude walk into a store w/his gun in the holster. I was shocked and my friend said "Welcome to the wild west my dear!"
