I am the most happy man in the world!!!!... Yippie!!!!.... 2007/1/30, Bruce Greenwood <bruce.greenwood@rogers.com>:
I just received a phone call from my father who lives in Florida. He excitedly called to tell me that he just saw an announcement of The Police reunion on CNN Headline News (I've been keeping him posted over the last few weeks). I asked if the broadcast just referred to the performance at the Grammys, which was officially announced today, and he said no - it appeared to be an official announcement of a reunion with multiple concerts. Did anyone out there see this on CNN? As much as I love my dad, his enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of him to the detriment of his accuracy when relaying details!! I'd be curious to know if this really was an official announcement, or if we should still be waiting, as anticipated, for the day after the Grammys.
Cheers, Bruce

Hi gang....I can tell it's definitely true and due to all these talkings, I can now say something. They will rehearse (or jamming) for some time, that's what Stewart told me exactly some weeks ago; I'm sure the news was not intended to be out this way, but anyway, it's out... NO words about the recordings of new stuff, mainly playing and jamming together. That's all I can say by now. Giovanni
Ps.: don't spread this message around, this is for us all.

Yes.Miles' mouth - exactly. Though I'm not really sure about the timing of Stewart's travels vs. when rehearsals are/might be happening in Vancouver. The Billboard article seemed to suggest they "will" be rehearsing in Vancouver (i.e. at some point in the future) - maybe they are not there now, but will be shortly.
