The fan club decides at the beginning how many tickets it wants to hold back for fans based on demand. They probably look at prior shows and how many were bought, and then also take into account that more fans will go for the major venues. Let¹s say that they held 500 tickets, by the time you get to the end of the presale, there will only be the worst of the advance tickets left ( row r and row k are not bad seats in truth). Also, a lot of the fan club members do not want to be on the floor in the hussle bussle, and prefer to have something a little more withdrawn, so the fan club caters to that also. Lastly, I found that tickets come and go from the system, you may find that trying now may get you an even better seat. Hmmm.. Went via the Sting fanclub to get tickets for Birmingham NEC, and the best it could give me was row R.
Gone via the NEC Box Office instead, and got Row K.
Can anyone explain that?

That's great, wonder if anyone else was able to score anything in the first 10 rows? I love the RAH! It's a great place to see a band!
