Stewart was referring to digital samples just like they used in Roxanne on the Grammys - you could hear Sting's voice as the backup vocal. In order of preference for me: 1. Just the boys 2. Samples 3. Backup vocalists The first option is, by far, my favoutite. Anyway, what did he mean by the samples. Did he mean the band the Sample - who I have seen live a number of times who I always thought sounded very Police like in terms of the vocals and the drumming.
