Terrance, all that talent and that's the best you can say about Sting. The sequesnce music, well it was a smart decision to use Kipper to help reinvent the Sting sound, if he didn't do it, there is a very good chance people would have said Sting was boring and monotonous. Kipper added a much needed twist to the mix. Without him, who knows if BND would have been another flop like Mercury Falling. I enjoyed Mercury Falling but IMNSHO, BND is better musically and commercially much more successful! We should be happy he didn't go down the "PoP Mart" U2 route, now THAT is overdoing the sequence and taking the soul out of music. Final post here! Well David I believe I am a musician, I have an Album (The TecTonics) www.stingus.com, which I played drums, bass, guitar, vocals on, I wrote three of the songs on the album, I believe they are good songs. It sold nationwide and in europe, so yes I would say I am a musician. I have produced over 50 albums at Sheehan Sound Engineering Studios in Michigan. www.sheehansound.com. Digitally remastered 100's of Police and Sting recordings, what have you done ? Just curious
As to the other stuff, those are my opinions right now, they are always subject to change, You can miss quote me all over the place, but when you do that next time please include the good stuff I said as well. Sting is a awesome musician. I would just like to see more jamming in his shows, like on previous tours. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a lifelong Sting fan, after all I ante up the big bucks to see his shows, buy all his albums. I also will point out things that I don't like. This issue is exhausted please move onto something else everybody is fully aware of what I wrote. I stand by my comments, and I know everyone is sick and tired of this non-sense.
Take Care, Terrence Sheehan
By the way, this is the Police mailing list you must expect there are big Stewart fans here. Sting and Andy too!!!!

Terrence, are you really a musician?
It's not like he is sequencing every song. Like the Police, he uses it on selective songs. I hope you are aware there is sequenced music on Oyeterhead's album as well. The background music on the web site is looped sequenced music!
Sting's latest album is a live album, his first in 15 bloody years... and instead of taking the easy route out of releasing one of the numerous shows they recorded, he gave us something much better with new arrangements.
Sheesh

I will speak for myself, anyone who plays to a click track in a live performance is killing the ebb and flow of music. Music is alive with a heartbeat that changes with given emotions. Sting's music is computer driven, The last time I checked Mucicians were human, Not machines!!! Nothing personal meant by this, it is my opinon, and quite a few others as I am sure you have read. Stings latest album is another Greatest hits compilation, how many times can you buy the same thing in a different package, I'm surprised there were no rap remakes on this one.

Anyone who has followed Sting from the
beggining must be disappointed with
his behavior and music.
From a musician to a musician and with all due respect, please speak for yourself.
Cheers Michele
