I believe we need to view this DVD release from the perspective that the Police have not created new music in over two decades. A segment of the music industry’s target audience had not yet been born during the Synchronicity tour. As difficult as it may be to hear, we should expect there would be little or no publicity for a release aimed at a very small market niche.

 

A related question: Is the Police’s music of a quality that it will transcend generations? Is this decided lack of publicity an indicator that it will not?
