If you don't like a post, swallow and move
on.
If you don't like a thread, don't open the
posts with those titles.
No one said that anyone has an obligation to
read or respond to anyone's post.
Just because one or 2 vocal people have an opinion,
it is not necessarily the opinion of "the list"
Being rude only displays folks for the boneheads
that they are.
I'm thinking that most of us are adults. Some
of the things I have read here have precipitated me to respond, in anger, but I
didn't need to.
Whining about the list, and then leaving or
threatening to leave seem just plain silly.
I'm all for the healthy exchange of ideas and
debate. Sometimes that gets rough. If that offends you, just skip
the damn posts.
There's no way to keep idiots off the list.
There's no way to make people polite in their posts. This is
a freedom of speech thing!
So here's to the rude, opinionated, cruel and
idiotic of the list....I even think that I prefer these posts to the whiney ones
about "now I have to leave the list....boo hoo, won't that make you feel bad
about what you did to make me leave the list"
I've left the list a couple of times, but never
felt a need to chastise the list and explain that it is because of certain
posts that I "had" to leave the list. I frankly never thought that anyone
would care and I frankly don't care much one way or another who comes and
leaves, as long as there's new information and interesting stuff to read from
time to time.
If you don't like a thread, don't pursue it.
If you don't like what one person says consistently, find a way to use your
email program to filter out these posts.
And for those whose arguments get personal, why not
pursue these arguments one on one and save the rest of us the bandwidth, the
memory and the time from having them downloaded to our computers?
I'll stop my idiotic whining now.
Geez what a bonehead!
