...only 1 Andy CD ? hmmm.....he has done about 14 or 15 Albums since 1982, difficult to say. Check the discography on his website. I personally like : - "i advance masked" (with Robert Fripp) from 1982. Weird + strange stuff. A cool, experimental + purely instrumental Guitar/- synthesizer Record. His first collaboration with RF, 1984 came "bewitched", more audiable. - "XYZ" : If you like to hear Andy Summers voice, this is the only album he sings. And i think he does a good job. Then he has done some "new age instrumental stuff" for the next 3 Albums, maybe - "the golden wire" ? Yes, i've seen him on the "Montreux Jazz Festival" (1990 ?) and i have a recording of that show. That was GREAT ! especially when Sting met him on Stage to perform "MIAB". ! Chad Wakerman was on Drums, an ANIMAL ! Later he went into what mostly people call "Jazz". My favourite : - "Green Chimneys" ...don't know why exactly...but i like it. well, you see, i's difficult : i like them all ! I like his Guitarplaying. He is the reason why i play a Telecaster ! I got every AS album since the day it was released (or maybe since it was available in Switzerland), so the new or current Album is always the favourite Album. Then a new one comes out -> you like the new one.....know what i mean ?!!? hope this helps, peace Simon ----Ursprüngliche Nachricht---- Von: dripdry@gmail.com Datum: 26.07.2007 16:46 An: "The Police"<Police@mailman.xmission.com> Betreff: [Police] World Gone Strange I haven't seen much time given to Andy's solo stuff lately, so this: It's been a brain-rattling 24 hours. For whatever reason, I really needed to hear Andy's "World Gone Strange". I put the disc in the drive. Nothing. The PC wouldn't recognize anything in the drive. After fiddling around for ten minutes, suddenly the drive just starts acting as if nothing happened. Like a cat that tears up the drapes while you're away at work, then looks up at you quizzically as if to say,"This strange man came in while you were gone, and all he did was shred the drapes. Aren't I adorable?" A world gone strange, make no mistake about it. Anyway, World Gone Strange may be clothed in synthesizers and perhaps a touch dated, but it still feels nice to listen to. This is the only Andy CD I own. Any other suggestions? Last Dance of Mister X perhaps? Have a great one, everybody!
