Of course this is all just my opinion, but MF is Sting's only truly forgettable album. I thought that in 1996 and still think so seven years later. If you took it away from his back catalog you would be missing out on nothing, whereas TST has become a vital part of Sting's catalog over the years.
Not if you chuck out the rubbish songs (e.g. Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot) and add in the B sides, which were practically all better than most of the tracks on the album. I burned an "alternate" MF once all the singles were out, and although there are patchy bits, it ends with Twenty-five to midnight, The pirate's bride, Lullaby to an anxious child and Valparaiso (yes, no Lithium Sunset), and that's a fantastic four tracks.
