I'm just wondering if people would be opining about Stew's lack of class (an absurd notion) had he not broken the snare. His playing was amazing and as I stood there and absorbed the moment, I had shivers up and down my spine. Stewart was the one who confirmed it for me that I was actually listening to The Police. While I thought Andy was great, and Sting was his usual Stingness, Stew brought back the old Police feel. He is instantly identifiable because he is so amazing. I'll take intensity and passion over much-ado-about-Manu any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Stewart took advantage very well on "showing off" appropriately during Roxanne, and I am sure during Message, but he should have put the integrity of the band first and play with more finesse during Every Breath. The man is probably the best hi-hat player I know and I do believe he is an incredible drummer but there was so much more he could have done to show he was more about class and show the world that outside of the jamming hard, the Police could also sail or cruise with finesse and class! He is not a child, class musicians under such pressure and excitement maintain control, the way Sting and Andy did!
