I wholeheartedly agree with you about "The Wild Wild Sea".  It is one of the most unique, evocative, and lyrically brilliant songs ever.  I, too, get a chill down my back when I hear it, especially live.  One of my favorite versions is from  the '91 Montreux Jazz Festival.

As for other songs in which I prefer the live version, I would have to say "Perfect Love...Gone Wrong".  I know there are quite a few people who absolutely abhor this song, but I love it, and the live version is 10x better than the album version.  It's a fun song with it's own, unique funky twist.  It's different, and I like it.  (I always feel compelled to defend it).
