re: FP... wow. I could not disagree with you more! I LOVE Two Sisters, (the chorus is the first set of lyrics I've memorized in years [old woman!]...)  it's got a great psuedo-reggae beat, very catchy... and Death Machine--Great lyrics... good song.
I guess that's what music is all about, taste, opinion, whether it moves you or not... totally cool.
Plus, to be honest, getting to know the boys has been an added bonus--Pete (the talented drummer) is the most personable guy around, he and Joe, and the last time I saw them Seton as well, remembered me the last four times I saw them! There's nothing cooler than walking up to them and having Pete yell, "JEN!" when he saw me... or Joe smile and wave with recognition... So, yeah, that helps. But honestly, the music is pretty good! Try their first album as well.

IMHO,
Jen

Wow everyone!  I just finished watching Fiction Plane on a rerun of the Jimmy Kimmel show – which was great because as some of you may remember, when it originally aired, it got pushed back, and I taped the entire thing except for FP).  I will expand on Holly’s review of them, if I may!  They did a song called “Two Sisters.”  I was not all that impressed with the music (really didn’t like these lyrics, “I’m in love with 2 sisters, only weapons can decide...”  yikes!), but they did leave an impression on me!  They should be called the Police Lite or something, a 3 piece band, they look like a little clone of the Police, the drummer even reminded me of Stewart!  I can’t get over how much Joe looks and sounds like his father, I mean, talk about following in your father’s footsteps!

For those of you that are interested, you can see their performance of a song they did at the end of the Jimmy Kimmel Show called “Death Machine” (I liked this song even less) at:

But, with all that being said, I am looking forward to hearing more from them!  (Or maybe just seeing them? ; )  I won’t be seeing them until 7/22 I suppose, but guess who I will be seeing on Saturday????  I’m going to the Live Earth concert, I almost forgot about them, I wasn’t really thinking about that, I was thinking about the 1st concert I’d be attending (7/22 in Toronto!), but a friend from the list actually reminded me that I would be seeing our friends this Sat!!!!  So I am very excited, it’ll be the 1st time I’ll be seeing them!  I will let you know all about it.  Anybody else from the list going?

I’ve been very jealous of everyone so far who has seen them, so at least I’ll get a little taste!  Still can’t wait to see a full set!

Love to all,
Dr. Alli

P.S.  I seem to be alone in this, but I LOVE Murder By Numbers!  ; P
