When The Last Ship dropped, I enjoyed the music because it was so close to the great stuff from the Blue Turtles era, so nostalgia? Maybe. If you recall, I  had great misgivings about the show before it went to Broadway. I never thought it would play in the states; I always thought of it as a British  play that would play better over there. I never thought American audiences would "get it". I don't think any of the Police need any money, so chances of another reunion tour are really slim. But if any or all of them came out with some new music, I'd certainly give it a listen. I've been mightily underwhelmed by a lot of the new music out there: lots of gimmicks, not so much talent/creativity. I generally enjoy prog rock, but the best prog is still classic prog, IMHO.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

So true and I agree, except Sting did some exceptional stuff on Dream of the Blue Turtles and Summoner's Tales.

I don't know anymore. "Russians" came up on the shuffle yesterday and something that seemed so deep and soulful 30 years ago sounded pretty trite to my ears today. I'd much rather listen to M83, Dandy Warhols, Big Data, First Aid Kit, Caspian, and David Holmes. Sting hasn't aged well for me.
