...maybe we have to ask mr. Jon Douglas Lord himself...

Simon,
When I first read the track listing for the new cd, I thought the same thing as you. Sarabande has to be the Jon Lord song. The email from Andy's website makes things interesting along with the liner note from Jon Lord' album. If you find anything else out, please let me know.
Cheers, Jon

Hmmm...i’m wondering about that, because :
Sarabande is a Jon Lord composition. At least that’s what the LP–Innersleeve and the CD-Booklet says.
Here are the original liner notes :
“The Theme behind the music on this album is that of a baroque dance suite.
A form of music which was brought to its highest level by Bach.
The title of each track is the name of a dance used in one of these dance suites, and i have tried to use the same tempo, and feel as an original Sarabande, Gigue, etc.”.......
Composed and Scored by Jon Lord between January and August, 1975, Munich, Germany
ANDY SOMMERS – Guitar and classical Guitar
Peace
Simon

I just got email from Andy's website stating the "sarabande" track is really a Johann Sebastian Bach composition. I just had to set things straight for the record. And yes, it is the Police's "bring on the night".
Cheers, Jon
PS: the album is good if you like dual guitar albums like Andy's earlier work.
