Fiction Plane has booked a gig in Vancouver just before the tour starts...and it's only $10 to get in. Wonder if Sting will take a break from rehearsing to drop in? http://www.hob.com/tickets/eventdetail.asp?eventid=45264 FICTION PLANE SATURDAY, MAY 26TH THE PLAZA CLUB VANCOUVER, BC DOORS 7:00 PM SHOW 7:30 PM **GENERAL ADMISSION** Fiction Plane is a three-piece pop-rock group from Bath, England, fronted by Joe Sumner, the son of singer-songwriter Sting. MCA released the band's debut Everything Will Never Be Okay in the U.K. in 2002 and in the U.S. the following year, along with the single "Hate". Of the band's latest, the guitar-oriented Left Side of the Brain, Sumner says the band tried "to make this epic album into an epic journey of epic proportions". The new material will be appropriate for Fiction Plane's upcoming tour, which includes opening for the Police in stadiums across North America as well as a few select club dates. Tracks on Left Side of the Brain include the arena-ready "Anyone" and the single "Two Sisters". Described as having a furious energy live, with a fervour that is channeled into intense melody and razor-sharp, cynical lyrics, Fiction Plane cites Nirvana and Pavement as influences. Don't miss Fiction Plane with special guests on Saturday, May 26th at The Plaza Club. TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, APRIL 13th @ 10:00AM Tickets: $10.00 (INCL.
