Subject: Re: [Police] Questions about One Train LaterRoss....roll my eyes now? What do you have in store for us next? :)You're a little far to the north, but given the joke quality here I have almost no qualms with walking up there and physically taking away your privileges. Privileges to what, I don't know. I just have a pressing need to revoke *something* for that. I'm at a loss. Can somebody help me here, please? Giovanni, can you pull some strings and have him punished by elite fan club ninjas or something? :-DGosh, I must be getting <yawn> sleepy or something... or maybe it was that joke. Exhausting! All in good fun :)Yeah, it's a good read.David

Subject: [Police] Questions about One Train LaterOk, so I'm sure more will pop up over time...First, for anyone who hasn't read this book, although the first 3/4 of it are very good, I got to the part about The Police playing in Argentina, and Andy kicking the policeman, and I was actually driven to tears at the tension and passion of the situation, and what it meant to people in that country at that time... if you haven't read this book, even if you didn't know anything about The Police (which I know you do... aw, come on and admit it!), this book is really top notch and worth a read.Anyway:Andy said that there was a show they did in maybe Argentina, on the Zenyatta Tour, or right around that time, where he said that it was probably the best version of Don't Stand So Close to Me they *ever* played. Is there any way at all to get a hold of this? Were these foreign shows recorded?Second, what happened to his pink shoes? Does anyone know if he's planning on wearing them for the concerts, or if he could be cajoled into doing so? :-DThird, it says that Zenyatta was remixed and COMPLETELY redone by the band in one day of frenzied madness. What happened to the original album !?! Does anyone have access to the original? I thought the Ghost demos were really neat, if unpolished, but a whole different version of Zenyatta!? Wow!On a side note there, Shadows In The Rain was originally a jazzy sort of number by Sting.... so what happened to his Zenyatta demos?More to come as I finish and perhaps reread the book.I suppose I'm putting this thread out there (well, it looks like a thread to me, I use Gmail) in order to help answer any questions surrounding issues raised in the book, and potentially discuss what these things might mean for the future of The Police (ie new material).Every time I think I'm over this Police reunion, I start listening to their stuff again and get all jazzed (no pun intended!) up.David[MiaS]--
