hope you all have been well. i have been talking about the "reunion" subject a lot in the past few days, sharing the following tidbit with people: one of the first thoughts i had when "i heard" was that sting just bought himself a few years. think about it...compared to his previous solo records, SACRED LOVE as a failure, commercially and with most of the people here. the lute record...i have yet to get it, although i did hear some of it last christmas and i thought it was good. so...with the daunting process of writing and record an entire new pop record (avg. time to complete from scratch for him = approx. 3 yrs), and no desire to burn up the classical charts with another lute record...it makes all the sense in the world that he would do a reunion now. i believe him entirely when he says "the tour is more about reforging old relationships. my only hope is that he realizes just how special the band is. how they push him, challenge him. and something more than this tour comes out of it. FYI: i have yet to see them. looking very forward though. here's hoping "deathwish" is played... rich --- Stingfan222@aol.com wrote:
