I'll give you that -- it is common that tenors tend to "over-pitch", and I
think it is something that Sting does on occasion. But it is much easier
to listen to the "over-pitch" than to listen to the flat singing, and he is
correct to sing 'higher' than needed. If you are singer (which
I am) the one thing we know is that we almost never sing a perfect song.
For goodness sake, a sound engineer? Nothing is ever perfect, is it?? And
I mean that in the nicest way, since we as singers want someone on the other end
to help us sound more perfect than we are.

sting didn't hit all the notes, sometimes he "pitched" a bit over the
ones he wanted to reach...
