I think he meant band samples. Can anyone verify this?

I find it a potentially interesting political move on his part to, perhaps, derail Sting going for something like backing singers or horns or whatever, by deferring to the fans and making the choice very clear as well as making us feel like we actually have some control over what The Police do. Not sure if Stew saw the backing vocals as a potential issue amongst the band, but if that was the case I like his strategy :-) Now maybe he'll ask the fans about other things as well :-)

The crowd clearly went for just the band which I am all for it. Very excited about no horns, backing vocals and just the 3 of them. Uncluttered and focused and about the music. Anyway, what did he mean by the samples. Did he mean the band the Sample - who I have seen live a number of times who I always thought sounded very Police like in terms of the vocals and the drumming. Or did he mean the samples as in samples of music like digital samples.
