Once upon a time (’87 or ’88), I watched an interview with a then long-haired Sting in which he was shown two of his past interviews.  In both, he made statements that conflicted with each other by about 180 degrees.  His explanation:  “Changing your mind is a sign that you’re thinking.  Which explains why I’m so inconsistent.”
