LOL.
Mmm, I quite like that.  Maybe with a dance beat "The finer Viner Mix". ;)

That's the thing I don't get:

If The Police are so eager to cash in, why haven't they released all the unreleased material in the vaults? Sure they can spread the releases out to pad their retirement, but it just seems like it would be easy for them to cash in on things like releasing bootlegs on the cheap (I'd buy digital shows at $5 a pop!), releasing the current tour shows to fans for $10-$15 each, or who knows what.  I don't know why, but it makes me feel like they're on auto pilot instead of actually doing the tour for the fans... meh.

Hell, Sting should just release his gig with Ross and let it soar to the top of the charts! :-)

Maybe they should just do what the late great Frank Zappa did......

Gather up all known and unknown bootlegs from all sources, clean them up and
release them!

Cheers from down here

I think I may have heard that as well.

That's possible.  The likes of Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake could
possibly produce bigger hits.  But I think a new Police album would sell as
well as any Sting album (or a new Eagles album for that matter).

That's possibly true.  I've read a number of articles that state that CD
sales have declined with the popularity of digital downloads.  However, I
think the older demo still buys more CD's than the younger demo (who, I've
read, prefer to download their purchases).

I still buy CD's.
