Hmmmm, the plot thickens. Jason's explanation makes sense too. Guess I'm not going to believe anything until it comes from the horse's mouth!

Hi Jason and everybody else around here.
In my opinion I would seriously doubt that a cover band would be booked for Wembley stadium, even if they can 'play' with the name, but your explanation is anyway important.

I would rather think that they might be in touch with someone at Wembley and 'maybe' there might be some sort of 'deals' about having The Police play there around July....rumours from insiders might have lead them to 'schedule by themselves' a possible concert, but everything based on 'voices', 'rumours'... just another example of people trying to fool desperate fans...
The date changed three times in five days as I said in my previous post, and if you call them they just don't know that much about...
I asked: 'I'm calling from Italy, are you sure that The Police concert you are scheduling is going to happen?'
They said: 'The date should be right'
And me: 'Yeah, but I know the tour is not confirmed yet, if they will ever tour'
Answer: 'The date should be right'
Me again: 'So you are telling me you have confirmation of that concert, that's weird...'
And they: 'The date should be right'

Be careful.. I clicked on the 'buy now' (just to see more info) and read the small print...

"The Police Live in London

Inclusive Reserved seat Ticket to see The Real Police Live in Concert Venue (Wembley Stadium) Concert Date (21 July 2007) 1 Night Luxury London Hotel Buffet Breakfast "

"The Real Police"

The Real Police is a tribute act..  darned expensive tickets for a tribute if you ask me..  I'd steer well clear until anything is officially announced..  I'm sure you'd hear it from Tina, Dave & Wendy if anything official was known.  These appear to be scum cashing in on unsuspecting desperate fans.
