I am fortunate to have the opportunity
to be at the Muchmoremusic interview / show in Toronto this
Friday, and I may have an opportunity to ask Sting a question during the
show. I've chatted with Sting in the past, and don't feel I have
anything of particular importance to ask him at this point, so if I do have a
chance to ask Sting a question, rather than letting that opportunity go to
waste, I am wondering if anyone on the list has a question they would like
me to ask on their behalf?
Maybe something like "Where did you get the name
Sting from?", or "Do you think the Police will ever get back together?", or
maybe "Do you think you could play Fragile just one more time?"......OK, just
kidding....but seriously, if anyone out there does have a question for
Sting, let me know and maybe I'll have a chance to get an
answer.
Cheers,
Bruce in TO

Hello everybody
It's not in my habit to leave my personnal
opinion about how I feel about this or this album , or how great it is
whenSting cut his beard ( !!) ... but this morning I felt like doing this
about SL .
I don't want to say this album sucks , because it
doesn't ... Of course I am not a fan of all these machines, but it's quite
better than BND. Good songs , good vocals , and the first live performances
show how goog they will be live.. What I think about this album is that Sting
has definitly lost the gang thing .. Why 'Dream of the B....' , 'Nothing ...'
till 'Ten Summoner' were good albums because Sting ' lived ' wth
the musicians and gave them the time to rehearse and to feel
the songs and their structures ...Unfortunately Kipper' was on his way ..
and the musicians came after the production to fill the holes ....Too
bad!!
That's all ... let the album live live and don't
forget to listen to previous albums and to THe Police ones ( without nostalgia
of course The Police were and always will always be a tremendous good band )
and to Stewart's and Andy's.
Take care
