Ha, I'm in the same boat, only there's some strange irony as well.  I missed seeing The Police because I was at a family reunion in Wisconsin.  I've never been back there--cousins I've never seen and everything...but that's not it.  This year will be my Grandmother's 90th birthday, and there will be a reunion.  I promised to attend.  However, if the same situation comes up again--sorry Grandmother.  I'm not fourteen this time, I can make my own plans.  I've regretted that missed opportunity for too many years.
