In my many, many years of attending concerts I have learned that pre-sales are not necessarily the best way to get tickets. Only a certain number of tickets are available in certian sections of the stadium/arena and very often not the best seats. The advantage to pre-sales is you are attempting to putchase approx 20% of the seats w/ tens of thousends of other people rather than trying for 70% of the tickets w/ millions of other people (VIP's gets the other 10%)!! I have always purchased tickets in pre-sales, when I have the opportunity to, to concerts that I want to go to that are likely to sell out quickly. I always go back in when they go on sale to the general public to see if I can get better seats, and, more often than not, I get better seats during the general public sale. attend probably 10 concerts a year on average. Yes, I'm a concert junkie, but The Police is still the biggest dream come true. They are my first love and the reason why I am such a huge fan of music!!
